Internship with Focus on Public Relations
Our Public Relations team is searching for an intern (m/f) to begin in November 2010 at company headquarters in Berlin. The duration of the internship is three to six months.
The position is paid and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to gain valuable and comprehensive experience in a press office, with an emphasis on international press and media. The successful candidate will, among other duties, draft journalistic texts for a broad target audience including, but not limited to, journalists, investors, and the general public.
The successful candidate will also evaluate international media for important articles pertaining to Germany and its economy, analyze and assess current company texts, and come up with independent story ideas.

You will assist us in
- Generating texts for the press in both English and German
- Putting together articles about Germany as a business location and about specific industries
- Answering of press inquiries
- Evaluating German and international media and maintaining the press archive
- Assembling a daily "press review"
- Editing texts
- Assembling and maintaining the press distribution lists
The ideal candidate should have
- A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or completed basic studies in journalism, communication, political science, marketing or a similar field
- Excellent editing skills (i.e. the ability to write and edit journalistic texts)
- Experience in journalism, marketing, and communication
- Excellent knowledge of English (preference is given to native speakers familiar with American English)
- Very good knowledge of German
- An attitude conducive to working in a team and the ability to work flexibly and independently
- Skills in MS Office software (especially PowerPoint)
